Mountain Top Sports has confirmed Pikeville High School softball coach Brandi Jo Howard has resigned from her position after three seasons.
She took over the program in 2019, replacing coach Dave Thomas. Her teams finished 55-23 in 2019 and 2021 after play was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Howard said she was grateful for all the young ladies she had the honor to coach.
She said the decision to leave the program was difficult but is excited about new opportunities in her career.
Howard said she will miss her Pikeville family and wishes the school the best.
