UPIKE’s Jared Kirkman blasted a two-run homer in the first inning and the Bears were off and running to a 9-3 win over WVU-Tech on the road on Wednesday.
Tyler Freas had four hits, including a double, and scored two runs. Tyler Maynard collected two hits, scored once, and batted in three runs. Noah Helton doubled in one run and scored.
Ty Crall was the winning pitcher.
