COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Bears slam dunk CC; end four-game losing streak

PIKEVILLE – The University of Pikeville men’s basketball Bears ran out to a big halftime lead and went on to cruise past Carver College, in a game played on Saturday.

The Bears, now 16-5, snapped a four-game losing streak.

Korbin Spencer paced five UPIKE players in double figures with 20 points off the bench. Jordan Perry added 18 while Da’Rell Domineck tossed in 14.

Luke Layhew finished with a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 boards. J.J. Ramey added 10.

UPIKE will return to Mid-South Conference play against Thomas More on Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
