COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Big fourth quarter lifts Bears to seventh win

The University of Pikeville landed four players in double-digit scoring and a strong finish fueled an 80-73 win over Freed-Hardeman in a game played at Appalachian Wireless Arena on Thursday night.

UPIKE ended a two-game road losing streak and moved to 7-4 overall and 304 in Mid-South Conference action.

Alexis reed led the way with 19 points while Mary Englert followed with 18. Brianna Burbridge added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sierra Feltner tossed in 12.

The Bears will host Bethel University (8-5) at 1:30 pm on Saturday.
