COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE men, women drop road games

COLUMBIA – University of Pikeville’s number four ranking nationally took a hit again Saturday as Lindsey Wilson used a big second half to down the Bears, 80-69.

Korbin Spencer led four Bears (15-3) in double figures with 16 points. Jordan Perry followed with 14 while J.J. Ramey tallied 13. Da’Rell Domineck added 10.

UPIKE has now lost three of their last four.

The Bears will host Shawnee State University at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.

CAMPBELLSVILLE – The University of Pikeville had a slim halftime lead get away in the second half as Campbellsville used clutch three-point shooting to edge the Bears, 72-66.

Jordan Perry paced the Bears, now 15-2, with 17 points and Korbin Spencer followed with 14. Da’Rell Domineck added 12 and Luke Layhew chipped in nine.

COLUMBIA – The University of Pikeville fell behind by double digits in the opening half and 14th-ranked Lindsey Wilson cruised to a 79-52 win in a game played Saturday.

Brianna Burbridge had 16 points while Sierra Feltner and Mary Englert added 13 apiece as UPIKE dropped to 13-7.

The Bears will host Shawnee State University at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.

Mary Englert paced the Bears, now 13-6, with 24 points while Bailey Frazier tossed in 10.
