COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE women extend winning streak to six

The University of Pikeville women pulled away from Cumberland University and went on to score a 90-64 win in the MSC matchup played at the Arena on Saturday.

UPIKE improved to 12-4 overall and won their sixth straight game.

Mary Englert led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points. Allie Stone and Morgan Stamper tallied 12 each and Sierra Feltner added eight.

The Bears will return to action on Thursday night, hosting Georgetown College (11-6). Game time is 5:30 pm

The University of Pikeville women grabbed an early lead and pulled away to beat Tennessee Southern, 65-43, in a game played at the Arena on Thursday.

Bailey Frazier paced the Bears, now 11-4, with 15 points. Allie Stone added 13 while Morgan Stamper net 11.
