COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Marshall climbs to No. 22 after road win at La. Tech

Marshall University is ranked No. 22 in the nation following the Herds big road win at Louisiana Tech, 35-17, in a game played Saturday night.

Quarterback Grant Wells passed for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Thundering Herd improved to 4-0. Wells also rushed for a first-quarter score.

Running back Brenden Knox had 125 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Receiver Arlie Henry had three receptions for 72 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown pass.

Marshall will host Florida Atlantic (1-0)on Oct. 24. Kickoff from Joan C. Edwards Stadium is set for 2:30 p.m.
