COLLEGE FOOTBALL: UPIKE drops fourth straight

The University of Pikeville football Bears fell behind in the second quarter to Bethel University and the Wildcats went on to down the Bears, 44-13, at the W.C. Hambley Athletic Complex on Saturday.

UPIKE running back Adrian Medacco carried 17 times for 137 yards and scored the Bears lone touchdown.

Placekicker Jakob Headley booted a pair of field goals as UPIKE lost its fourth straight game after opening the season with back-to-back wins.

Quarterback Lee Kirkland passed for 128 yards. He was picked off twice.

The Bears will face undefeated national power Lindsey Wilson on Oct. 23. It will be Senior Day. Kickoff is 1:30 pm.
