Martin County’s Boo Newsome shot a two-day total of 150 to earn medalist honors by four strokes in the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational played this past weekend in Bowling Green.
She shot an even round of 72 on day one and followed it up with a 78 on the second day. She climbed from second to first, beating a field of 56 golfers.
UPIKE as a team recorded their best round on day one, with a 343, before closing out with a 354, to finish fifth in the team standings with a score of 697.
As a team, the Bears recorded their best round on day one as well, tallying a 343 (+55) before clubbing a 354 (+66) in the final round.
