Letcher Central pushed across six runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to shutout Betsy Layne, 10-0, in a game played at Cougar Field on Wednesday night.
Sam Little and Aiden Fields drove in two runs each Central improved to 7-7. C.J. Akers doubled twice and scored a pair of runs along with Canaan Cunniff.
Preston Helle was the winning pitcher.
Andrew Kidd had Betsy Layne’s only hit. He also walked as the Bobcats dropped to 0-9. Cam Pente took the loss.

Lawrence County scored four runs in the top of the first inning and the Bulldogs rolled to a 9-3 win over host Perry Central in a road game played on Wednesday night.
Mason Preston had three hits, including a pair of doubles and drove in two runs as the Bulldogs moved to 14-2. Bryce Blevins added three hits and knocked in two runs while Abner Collinsworth doubled, singled, and scored.
Jacob Daniels was the winning pitcher.
