Lawrence County pounded out 14 hits and the Bulldogs cruised to a 10-0 win over host Betsy Layne in the opening round of the 58th District tournament played at Stanville on Monday night.
Luke Patton belted a home run, singled twice, drove in three runs while scoring twice. Will Lafferty doubled and walked, scored a pair of runs and added two RBI.
Braydan Maynard added two hits, including a double, and scored one run. Winning pitcher Blue Fletcher collected three hits, including a double while Nick Collinsworth singled twice and scored once.
Jordan Frazier doubled for the Bobcats. Byron Tackett took the loss.

Prestonsburg used timely hitting and solid pitching to beat Floyd Central, 8-1, to advance to the 58th District championship game in a game played at Betsy Layne on Monday night.
Jon Little singled in a pair of runs and scored. Seth Fitch singled and drove in two runs while Nic Kidd added three hits, including a double, scored twice and added an RBI.
Winning pitcher Payton Burke singled twice and scored.
Nick Rackey had an RBI single in the loss while Jace Martin singled and walked.
Jacob Bentley was tagged with the loss.
