HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Tigers blank Golden Eagles; Cats beat Hornets

Paintsville’s Baron Ratliff and Cory Jefferson drove in three runs each to power the Tigers to a 10-0 win over cross-town rival Johnson Central in a game played on Tuesday night.

Grayson Peters had a solo home run and Harris Phelps singled and scored three runs.

Zach Cline was the winning pitcher as the Tigers improved to 7-2.

Hunter Blevins took the loss for the Golden Eagles, now 3-5. Keygan Pelfrey doubled and Connor Lemaster singled and walked.

Lawrence County snapped a 3-all tie with a run in the top of the eighth inning and the Bulldogs held on to slip past Floyd Central, 4-3, in a game played at Jaguar Field on Tuesday night.

Abner Collinsworth had two hits, including a triple, and knocked in one run as the Bulldogs moved to 6-1. Brayden Maynard singled and scored two runs.

Blue Fletcher was the winning pitcher.

Kaden Moore doubled, walked, and batted in one run while Dylan Mosley singled, walked and added an RBI. Caleb Hager singled, reach twice on walks and scored.
