HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Lady Jaguars top Lawrence; PCC nips P’burg

Floyd Central held on down the stretch to turn back Lawrence County, 69-60, in a game played on Monday night.

Katie Jo Moore fired in 27 points to pace the Lady Jaguars, now 13-3. Kennedy Harvel followed with 21 and Kamryn Shannon added 15.

Kensley Feltner stripped the nets for a game-high 40 points for the Lady Bulldogs, now 10-8. Sophie Adkins chipped in nine.

Pike Central rallied in the fourth quarter to slip past Prestonsburg, 57-56, in a game played at the Hawks Nest on Monday night.

Hannah May led the Lady Hawks (5-14) with 14 points and Emalie Tackett followed with 13. Abigail Hess tossed in 10.

Faith Lazar paced the Lady Blackcats (8-10) with 16 points. Audrey Prater tallied 15 and Alivia Slone finished with 12.
