The Pikeville Lady Panthers, winners of nine straight games, are the top-ranked team in the latest Mountain Top Sports girls’ Super 7 basketball poll released on Tuesday.
Pikeville, now 14-4, is followed by Johnson Central. The Lady Eagles, 10-2, moved ahead of Floyd Central (13-3). The Lady Jags are third.
Shelby Valley (9-4) is in at No. 4, followed by Belfry. The Lady Pirates (12-5) are fifth, just ahead of Paintsville (9-4) at No. 6. Martin County (8-6) is seventh.
Receiving votes are Lawrence County and Letcher Central.
