Pikeville used a solid third quarter to pull away and beat Betsy Layne, 67-55, in the 15th Region All A Classic championship game played at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Saturday night.
Rylee Samons poured in 25 points and Latihan Hall added 16 as the Panthers improved to 14-1.
Jordan Frazier paced the Bobcats with 20 points and Chase Mims added 18 in the loss.
Pikeville advances to face Danville Christian at 10 am on Jan. 27 in the state tournament at Eastern Kentucky University.
