HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Big second half carries Golden Eagles past Dores

Johnson Central exploded offensively after halftime to beat Perry County Central, 41-0, at Commodores Field on Friday night.

The Golden Eagles, now 5-2, held a slim 7-0 halftime lead.

Running back Chase Price carried six times for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Quarterback Grant Rice ran for two and finished with 82 yards on the ground.

Running back Zack McCoart added 61 rushing yards on 10 attempts and two touchdowns.

Johnson Central will host Harlan County (2-5) this coming Friday at Jim Matney Field. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
