HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Golden Eagles run away from Redhounds

Johnson Central moved one step closer to getting back to the Class 4A state title game after the Golden Eagles used a bruising ground attack to dismantle previously unbeaten Corbin, 34-13, in the regional championship game on Friday night.

Johnson Central, now 11-2, rushed for 454 yards, led by Matt Crum’s 124 yards and a touchdown. Chase Price added 119 yards and a pair of scores while Zack McCoart finished with 97 yards and two touchdowns.

The Golden Eagles will host Franklin County (10-3) on Nov. 26. Kickoff from Jim Matney Field is set for 7:30 pm.
