HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Hillbillies fall to 3-time defending champs in opener

Man’s long-awaited return to the gridiron came against three-time state champion Wheeling Central at George Queen Memorial Field on Friday night.

The Hillbillies struggled with four turnovers and numerous penalties as the Maroon Knights blanked Man, 19-0.

Man, now 0-1, had its first four games canceled.

Trailing 13-0 early in the fourth quarter, the Hillbillies march to the Central three-yard line but fumbled the ball away.
