HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Hillbillies score election night win over Mavericks

Man used a balanced rushing attack and solid defense to score a 27-0 victory over James Monroe in a game played on election night in Lindside.

The Hillbillies, now 3-4, pulled away in the game final 12 minutes plus.

Running back Cameron Frye had a seven-yard touchdown run with just over four minutes to play in the opening half to give Man the lead for good at 7-0.

It remained that way until running back Josh Moody scored on a three-yard run on the final play of the third period to push the lead to 13-0.

Frye added an 11-yard touchdown run midway through the final quarter and Nicholas Plumley added a five-yard run late to cap the scoring. Plumley led the Hillbillies in rushing with 88 yards.

The Hillbillies will close out the season at Buffalo (5-1) on Friday night.
