HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Logan falls short in battle with unbeaten Poca Dots

Logan played much of the second half without two of its top receivers on the road at O.O. White Stadium in Poca against the undefeated Dots.

Despite the obstacles, the Wildcats (5-3) were just one big play away from getting out Putnam County with a signature win.

Poca quarterback Jordan Wolfe scored a pair of touchdowns, and the defense stopped the Wildcats three times late in the game for a 14-12 win.

Wildcat quarterback Jordan Hayes passed for 197 yards and two touchdowns, both to Carson Kirk, covering 51 and 53 yards. Kirk hauled in six catches for 157 yards.
