Magoffin County scored 52 points in the second half to beat Pike Central, 76-54, in the district shootout played in Salyersville on Friday night.
Hornet quarterback Lucas Litteral was an unstoppable force, passing for 338 yards and four touchdowns, while rushing for 170 yards and three touchdowns as Magoffin County improved to 5-2.
Wide receiver Aden Barnett caught six passes for 202 yards and four scores. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown and recovered a fumble in the endzone for another. Grayson Whitaker had a TD reception, and he had a kickoff return for a score.
Pike Central running back Matt Anderson rushed for 303 yards and five touchdowns. Quarterback Tayvian Boykins rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns He also passed for another.
