The frustrations of getting to play high school football in Mingo and Logan counties have reached a boiling point for coaches, players, and fans.
Saturday’s new COVID protocols map posted to the West Virginia Department of Education website showed both Mingo and Logan in orange, along with Boone, Fayette, Kanawha, Monroe, and Putnam.
The lone red-coded county is Monongalia, which doesn’t allow practice nor games. It is home to West Virginia University.
