HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Warriors drop home finale to West Carter

East Ridge delivered the alarm call and West Carter answered.

The Warriors took a 12-0 lead n the Comets before the district’s defending champions responded with 52 unanswered points in a 52-12 win over the Warriors on the Reservation on Friday night.

East Ridge suffered their seventh straight loss and dropped to 2-7 while the Comets improved to 7-2.

Running back Gabe Mullins ran for 122 yards and one touchdown on 19 rushes in the loss.

Quarterback Dylan Burdine passed for 135 yards and one TD pass to Isaiah Adkins. Burdine added 61 yards on the ground.

Receiver Zack Mason had eight catches for 62 yards.
