Pike Central pushed across the winning run in the top of the eighth inning as the Lady Hawks edged Letcher Central, 6-5, in the seventh annual Wizard of Ozz Classic played on Saturday.
Sydnee Lowe belted a solo home run and doubled as Pike Central moved to 2-9. Zoey Ratliff singled and knocked in a pair of runs and Livia Sanders singled in one run and scored.
Lilly Blackburn was the winning pitcher.
Autumn Wampler had three hits, including a triple, and scored for the Lady Cougars, now 9-3. Losing pitcher Makennah Johnson triple, scored, and batted in three runs while Olivia Frazier singled, walked, and added an RBI.

In one of the wildest finishes this season, Letcher Central rallied to score to runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Paintsville, 14-13, in the seventh annual Wizard of Ozz Classic played on Saturday.
Paintsville, now 4-6, had scored eight runs in the top of the inning to grab a 13-12 lead.
Losing pitcher Laney Bledsoe had two hits, including a double, scored twice and knocked in one run while Chessa Collins singled, walked, scored, and drove in a pair of runs. Abby Maynard doubled in two runs and scored twice.
Gracie McDougal was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. She scored three runs and batted in two as the Lady Cougars moved to 9-2. MacKenzie Nantz had two hits, scored three runs, and added a pair of RBIs. Raygan Anderson had three singles, scored two runs, and added three RBIs. Abigail McDougal singled four times and batted in two runs while scoring a pair.
Makennah Johnson was the winning pitcher.
