HS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Bobcats top Lee; Hornets fall to Hazard

STANVILLE – Betsy Layne used a big first half to pull away and beat Lee County, 93-50, in a game played at Junior Newsome Arena on Wednesday.

Brady Robinson fired in 21 points, Lucas Manns followed with 18 and Jordan Frazier added 13 as the Bobcats improved to 3-0. Shawn Howell chipped in 10.

Lee County’s Zach Watterson poured in a game-high 32 points.

Alivia Slone poured in a game-high 23 points as the Lady Blackcats moved to 2-2. Alison Campbell tossed in 12.

Macy Thacker paced the Lady Hornets (0-4) with 14 points.

Braxton Tharp paced the Tigers, now 1-1, with 18 points while Nick Keeton followed with 17 points and 12 rebounds to finish with a double-double. Colby Fugate added 16.

Cody Maynard led all scorers for the Bulldogs (2-2) with 20 points. Chase Sartin hit for 19 and Tyler Maynard added 11.
