HS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Lady Jaguars move to 6-0; Belfry tops PCC

Floyd Central remained unbeaten as the Lady Jaguars raced past East Ridge, 60-21, in a game played at Floyd Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

Grace Martin led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points as the Lady Jaguars improved to 6-0. Kennedy Harvel followed with 15 and Katie Jo Moore added 12.

Leah Wells paced the Lady Warriors (0-3) with nine points.

Letcher Central dominated from the outset as the Lady Cougars steamrolled to an 80-16 win over June Buchanan in a game played at Pippa Passes on Tuesday night.

Kaylee Banks fired in 17 points to lead the Lady Cougars, now 1-1. Jaylin Whitt tallied 12 while Tori Holcomb, Kaylee Banks and Farrah Combs added eight each.

Belfry ran out to a big first-half lead and went on to beat Pike Central,69-40, in a 60th District matchup played at the Hawks Nest on Tuesday night.

Cushi Fletcher paced the Lady Pirates (3-1) with a game-high 23 points. Kyera Thornsbury finished with 18 and Linzee Phillips chipped in nine.

Hannah May led the Lady Hawks, now 0-3, with 12 points and Alexis Taylor added 11.

Chloe Hannah scored a game-high 16 for the Lady Tigers, who dropped to 2-3. Leandra Curnutte tallied 13 and Emilea Preece added 11.
