Prestonsburg’s Lady Blackcats came up on the short end of a 2-1 match between two of the state’s top soccer programs at StoneCrest Soccer Complex on Tuesday night.
The Lady Blackcats, now 9-2, had an unassisted goal from Anna Burchett. Goalkeeper Alivia Slone finished with nine save.
Avery Hall and Makenzie Burnett each had one goal for East Carter, now 8-0.

Lawrence County battled Boyd County throughout the match before the Lady Lions escaped with a 3-2 win over the Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday night.
Jasmine Justice and Ellie Webb each had one goal apiece while Shelby Borders added an assist.
Goalkeeper Kaison Ward had seven saves.
