MOUNTAIN TOP SPORTS: JC, Pikeville stay 1, 2

There is little change this week in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 football poll released Tuesday.

The top four positions remained the same with Johnson Central (2-0) and Pikeville (3-0) holding at No. 1 and No. 2. Belfry, 2-0, held on to the No. 3 spot while Paintsville, now 2-1, sits at No. 4.

The Golden Eagles will travel to South Charleston (W.Va.) Friday night, the Panthers will host Raceland, Belfry travels to Dayton, Ohio to face Archbishop Alter, and the Tigers welcome East Jessamine.

Man, now 2-0, climbed ahead of Shelby Valley (2-1) and Martin County (2-1). The Wildcats dropped one spot to No. 6 while the Cardinals are tied with Letcher Central (2-1) at No. 7.

The Hillbillies play at Westside on Friday night, the Wildcats go on the road to Knott Central, the Cardinals host Phelps and Letcher Central will host Union, Va.
