MTS/BWW PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Feltner shoots her way to honor

Lawrence County’s Kensley Feltner scored 31, 41 and 31 points during the Kentucky 2A sectional tournament, earning her the Mountain Top Sports/Buffalo Wild Wings Player of the Week honors.

She edged out Lawrence County’s Cody Maynard, who had games of 29, 30 and 32 points in three wins.

Special honorable mention include:

Shelby Valley’s one-two punch of Alyssa Elswick and Cassidy Rowe. Elswick had games of 18 points and 10 rebounds; nine points and 20 points and nine rebounds in the All-A tournament white Rowe had games of 18 points and nine assists; 16 points, seven assists and three steals;  and 10 points, seven assists and three rebounds.

Lawrence County’s Trenton Adkins scored 28 and 19 points in wins.

Pikeville’sRylee Theiss set a new single game record with 21 rebounds.
