REGIONAL TOURNAMENT: Logan falls to Sissonville; Man eliminated

Logan pitchers combined to allow just one hit, but Sissonville scored three runs in the fifth inning to hand the Wildcats a 3-2 loss in the opening game of the Class AA, Region IV tournament played at Roger Gertz Field on Tuesday night. 



The Wildcats, now 24-8, must win the next two games to advance to the state tournament. 

Jared Burnette singled and scored and Carson Kirk walked and scored. 

Dawson Maynard suffered the loss.

Man’s dream of reaching the state tournament ended at Tootie Carter Field as Wahama downed the Hillbillies, 5-1, in the Class A, Region IV tournament on Tuesday night. 

Caleb Vance walked three times and scored the lone run as Man ended the season at 20-11. Braxton Messer doubled and walked while Jace Adkins doubled. 

Preston Blankenship took the loss.
