Johnson Central and Lawrence County advanced to the championship game tonight at East Ridge High School with semifinal-round wins on Sunday.

Johnson Central pushed cross four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally and beat Belfry, 7-4, in the semifinal-round matchup played on Saturday.
Mason Kestner had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs as the Golden Eagles improved to 25-13. Ryan Sartin-Slone singled, walked, scored two runs, and added an RBI. Connor Lemaster singled, walked, scored, and knocked in one run while Josh Slone singled twice and scored.
Cameron Kelsey was the winning pitcher.
Noah Brown had two hits for the Pirates (23-12), including a double, and batted in two runs. Gage Fields added an RBI while Steven Banks singled and scored.
Parker Hall was tagged with the loss.

Lawrence County pitcher Bryce Blevins tossed a two-hit shutout as the Bulldogs advanced to the championship game with a 7-0 win over Paintsville on Sunday.
Blevins had a big game at the plate with three hits, including a double. He scored two runs and batted in one. Jacob Fletcher and Ethan Whitt each singled in one run while Abner Collinsworth had two hits and scored.
Jonah Porter and Cory Jefferson had the only hits for the Tigers, who season ended at 27-11. Connor Fugate was the losing pitcher.

Lawrence County pounded out 15 hits and scored in all four innings to blank Phelps, 15-0, in the quarterfinals played on Saturday.
Will Lafferty tossed a two-hit shutout as the Bulldogs improved to 28-6.
Blue Fletcher doubled in three runs and scored twice while Ethan Whitt had three doubles, scored a pair of runs and batted in two.
Bryce Blevins added two hits, walked, scored twice, and knocked in two runs while Lafferty singled, scored and added a pair of RBIs.
Losing pitcher Caleb Dotson had both hits for the Hornets, who saw their season end at 8-12.

Johnson Central advanced to the semifinals with a 10-0 win over Floyd Central in quarterfinal-round action played on Saturday.
Winning pitcher Mason Kestner allowed just two hits as the Golden Eagles moved to 24-13.
Chandler Spradlin singled in a pair of runs and scored while Ryan Sartin-Slone had two hits, scored a pair of runs and knocked in one. Connor Lemaster had two hits, including triple, batted in one run. and scored.
Gavin Crum had two singles and scored two runs while driving in one. Keygan Pelfrey had two extra base hits, one a triple, and scored.
Caleb Hager and Wesley Prater had the only hits for the Jaguars, who finished 13-19. Jacob Bentley was the losing pitcher.

Belfry made the most of just five hits as the Pirates advanced to the semifinals with a 9-4 win over Shelby Valley in a game played on Saturday.
Steven Banks singled and drove in a pair of runs as the Pirates improved to 23-11. Isaiah Stanley doubled in one run and Gage Fields doubled, walked, scored, and added an RBI. Jonathan Banks walked twice and scored both times. He also had an RBI. Devin Jude had two hits, including a double, walked twice and scored three runs.
Wyatt Webb was the winning pitcher.

Paintsville pitcher Zach Taylor tripled in the third inning and scored on Jonah Porter’s RBI to lift the Tigers to a 1-0 win over Pikeville in the quarterfinal-round matchup played on Saturday.
Taylor allowed only four hits as the Tigers improved to 27-10.
Pikeville starter Brady Clark was outstanding in defeat, allowing only three hits as the Panthers season ended at 19-16.
