53RD DISTRICT TOURNAMENT: Cougars rally from 20 points down to stun Cordia

PIPPA PASSES – Letcher Central rallied from a 20-point deficit, including being 10 down in the final quarter, to stun Cordia, 50-47, in the boys’ 53rd District tournament opener played at Alice Lloyd College on Tuesday night.

The Cougars, now 7-19, advance to the championship game while also punching their ticket to next week’s 14th Region tournament. The Lions season ends at 11-17.

Parker Williams finished with 16 points while Dylan Webb added a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 boards. Joby Johnson added 10.
