East Ridge came from behind to knock off Shelby Valley, 45-44, in the boys’ 59th District championship played at T.W. Oliver Memorial Gymnasium on Thursday night.
It was their first title since 2016 and fourth ever for the Warriors, now 15-8. The Wildcats fell to 17-8.
Isaac woods tossed in a game-high 18 points for the Warriors and Eli Sykes followed with 11.
Keian Worrix paced the Wildcats with 16 points and Zack Johnson and Russ Osborne added nine each.
