Floyd Central senior Amelia Wallace closed out her outstanding career by leading her team to the state tournament.
She set a single season record for assists with 926, including 60 in a single match against Betsy Layne. She had 142 digs, 117 kills, 56 aces and 47 blocks.
Her effort has earned her the Mountain Top Sports volleyball Player of the Year honor.
Wallace leads an outstanding group of selections to three teams.
Paintsville junior Hailey Little was named captain of the first team while Martin County freshman standout Olivia Maynard leads the second team
Phelps senior LaRanda Francis captains the third team.
East Ridge head coach Dave Spradlin was named coach of the year, edging out Floyd Central’s Brittany Reels.
