Kentucky football lost for the third time in four games as Iowa shutout the Wildcats, 21-0, in the Music City Bowl game played in Nashville on Saturday.

It was the first shutout in the bowl game in 24 years and ended UK’s season at 7-6.

Kentucky played with quarterback Will Levis and running back Chris Rodriquez Jr., both opted out to enter the NFL draft.

In his Kentucky debut and starting debut, freshman quarterback Destin Wade completed 16-of-30 passes for 98 yards. He was picked off twice, both were returned for Iowa touchdowns.

The Wildcats extended its school-record streak of seven straight bowl appearances. The loss ended UK’s 20 game non-conference win streak, which was the longest in the nation.
