HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Pikeville wins fourth straight All ‘A’ title

Defending All A state champion Pikeville is headed back to defend their title.

The Panthers pounded out 13 hits and dominated Prestonsburg, 11-0, in the championship game played at Cardinal Park in Inez on Saturday.

Winning pitcher Isaac Duty allowed only a second-inning single to J.D. McKinney. He struck out 10 and walked three as the Panthers improved to 9-5.

Bash Ryan had two hits, drove in three and scored one run. Sam Wright added three hits, scored one and added a pair of RBIs.

Jaxson Hall had two hits and scored two runs and added an RBI. Jeb Wilkerson collected two hits and knocked in a run while Noah Jarrell singled twice and batted in one run.
