Letcher Central pitcher Jonah Little fanned 13 batters and allowed just two hits as the Cougars advanced to the Kentucky 2A, Section 8 title game with a 5-1 win over Pike Central in a game played at Lawrence County on Tuesday night.
Jaydon Huff had a pair od singles for the Cougars, their only hits off losing pitcher Blake Hager. Quinton Williams walked twice and scored both times while Max Roark walked and added an RBI.
Caleb Mouton singled in one run for the Hawks while Hager reached base and scored.

Lawrence County erased a five-run deficit and rallied to beat Belfry, 9-6, in nine innings to reach the Kentucky 2A, Section 8 championship game at Floyd Central on Tuesday night.
Eli Fletcher’s RBI single ignited a three-run, ninth inning for the Bulldogs. Winning pitcher Will Lafferty pitched five shutout innings in relief. He also had a triple and double, and scored two runs.
Abner Collinsworth had two hits and drove in three runs while Grover Maynard doubled, singled, batted in a pair of runs and scored twice.
Fletcher finished with two hits, walked, scored three runs, and added an RBI.
Noah Brown belted a grand slam home run and singled in the loss. Steven Banks added two singles, batted in one run, and scored.
Jonathan Banks had two hits, walked twice, and scored two runs. Jonah Adkins took the loss.
