Martin County took charge early on against Floyd Central and the Cardinals rolled to a 55-16 win to capture the district championship in a game played at the Rock on Friday night.
The Cardinals won their third straight game and moved to 5-4.
Running back Madden Miller ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns while Brock Messer finished with 135 yards and two scores.
Quarterback Jackson Miller tossed a touchdown pass to Devan Maynard. Maynard also returned an interception back 100 yards for a score.
Central quarterback Jace Martin passed for 201 yards and a touchdown. He was picked off three times. Martin had a rushing touchdown.
Receiver Marvin McDonald had five receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown.
Both teams will close out the regular season on Friday. The Cardinals go on the road to East Carter (7-2) while the Jaguars welcome Shelby Valley (6-3). Games begin at 7:30 pm.
