Belfry High School head football coach Philip Haywood announced Wednesday he expects the new turf project to begin as early as March and will be completed in time for the 2020 season.
Haywood addressed members of the media in the school auditorium and said all but approximately $100,000 of the $450,000 needed has been raised.
However, those wishing to make a contribution may still do so.
“We still need help in raising enough funds to pay it off,” he said. “Those wishing to help may do so in a number of ways.”
