COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE upset bid falls short against No. 2 Campbellsville

The University of Pikeville women’s basketball Bears took a six-point lead to the fourth quarter before No. 2 Campbellsville rallied in the final minutes for a 64-62 come-from behind win in the Mid-South Conference opener played at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Thursday night.

UPIKE, now 2-1, was led by Morgan Stamper’s 17 points while Mary Englert and Alexis Reed added 10 apiece.

The Bears will be back in action against Georgetown College (4-1) at the Appalachian Wireless Arena at 2 pm on Nov. 20.
