Kentucky went on the road to Nashville and opened Southeastern Conference play with a 45-28 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday.
The Wildcats improved to 4-0 and now return home on Saturday with a showdown against the Florida Gators. Kickoff from Kroger Field is set for noon.
Defensive back Maxwell Hairston picked off a pair of passes for a pair of touchdowns. He had a 29-yard pick six in the first quarter, then did it again with a 54-yard interception return for a touchdown in the final stanza.
Vanderbilt transfer Ray Davis scored twice and finished with 78 yards. Quarterback Devin Leary connected on 15-of 9 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown. He was picked off twice..
Receiver Barion Brown caught four passes for 105 yards to lead the Cats in receiving.
