PIKEVILLE – University of Pikeville softball earned a doubleheader split with Indiana Wesleyan University, winning 3-1, in a game played at Paul Butcher Field on Saturday.
Hannah Skaggs scattered nine hits and struck out seven to earn the win. The lone run was earned.
Zoe Ingram had one hit and drove in one run while Haley Osborne added an RBI and scored one run. Megan Claypoole singled and scored.

PIKEVILLE – University of Pikeville saw an early four-run lead slip away as Indiana Wesleyan rallied to beat the Bears, 9-7, in the second game of a doubleheader played at Paul Butcher Field on Saturday.
Megan Claypoole took the loss as UPIKE dropped to 1-1.
Alysha Bolling had two hits, including a triple and drove in two runs. She scored once. Hannah Absher collected three hits and had an RBI while Mackenzie Pawlak doubled and scored.
