PIKEVILLE – University of Pikeville used timely hitting in the nightcap to beat Alice Lloyd College, 8-4, to complete a sweep of opponents at Paul Butcher Field on Saturday.
Macy Jones had a pair of hits, scored and drove in three runs as the Bears moved to 4-2 overall. Mackenzie Pawlak added three hits, including a double, scored and drove in one run. Zoe Ingram singled home one run and scored.
Hannah Skaggs was the winning pitcher. She allowed a pair of earned runs.
In the opener, Pawlak collected three hits, including a double and drove in a pair of runs. Zoe Ingram had three hits, scored and batted in one run. Haley Karr doubled twice and scored.
