Man and Belfry battled back and forth before the Hillbillies took charge and went on to knock off the Pirates, 18-14, in an offensive slugfest played at Tootie Carter Field on Monday night.
The two teams combined for 32 runs and 30 hits as the Hillbillies improved to 4-0 while the Pirates dropped to 4-2.
Winning pitcher Bo Thompson had three hits, including a pair of doubles, scored one run, and batted in three. Caleb Vance had a double, drove in two runs and scored two while Preston Blankenship added three hits, two doubles, and added a pair of RBIs.
