Paintsville pitcher Colby Fugate struck out 14 batters as the Tigers moved in to the 57th District tournament title game with a 9-1 win over Martin County in a game played at Eagle Field on Tuesday night.
Baron Ratliff had a pair of singles and drove in two runs while scoring three times. Jonah Porter added two hits, including a double, scored once and batted in one.
Harris Phelps singled and walked twice while scoring a run. Gunner Collins singled and walked twice while adding an RBI.
Ashton Miller had an RBI single.
Chase Stacy paced the Cardinals with two hits and an RBI. Greyden Proctor singled and scored.
Chase Preece was the losing pitcher.

Johnson Central hurler Conner Lemaster pitched a gem, tossing a no-hitter in leading the Golden Eagles to a 3-0 win over Magoffin County in the 57th District matchup played at Eagle Field on Tuesday night.
Lemaster finished with 17 strikeouts and losing pitcher Lucas Litteral fanned nine. He tossed a no-hitter during the regular season against JC.
Cameron Kelsey doubled and scored. Cole Ward and Bryce Spencer had the only other hits for the Golden Eagles.
