HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Lady Pirates roll past Lady Cards

Belfry grabbed an early lead against Martin County and the Lady Pirates cruised to a 72-30 win in a game played at home on Monday night.

Kyera Thornsbury fired in a game-high 22 points as the Lady Pirates moved to 17-7. Cushi Fletcher followed with 14 and Linzee Phillips tossed in 10. Jenna Sparks and Kyra Justice chipped in eight each.

Laken Williams paced the Lady Cardinals (12-10) with 15 points.
