HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Legendary Hazard coach retires after 30 seasons

Very few high school basketball coaches have a resume equal to long-time Hazard boys’ coach Al Holland Sr.

He was honored during a retirement party held on Friday.

Holland served as a head coach for 31 seasons and has been in education for the past 31 years.

He guided the Bulldogs to an All “A” Classic state title and won three 14th Region championships. Holland steps away with 301 total wins with the Bulldogs. His teams captured six 54th District titles.
