HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: McCoy nets 31 in Phelps win; Valley tops LexCath

Phelps eighth-grader Caleigh McCoy poured in 31 points to power the Lady Hornets to a 54-46 win over Wolfe County in a game played at the McCoy Athletic Center on Tuesday night.

Amelia Casey had 12 rebounds and three blocks and Faith Potter pulled down 10 boards.

Alyssa Elswick net 14 points and Kyra Looney followed with 12. Zoee Johnson added 12 and Kylie Alvin tossed in 10.

Cassidy Rowe added nine points and became the school’s all-time assists leader.
