The Paintsville Tigers first appearance in the boys Sweet 16 basketball tournament since 2008 was short-lived as Boyle County rallied in the final eight minutes to beat the Tigers, 70-56, Thursday at Rupp Arena.
Paintsville, which saw its season end at 15-9, led for the better part of three quarters before being outscored in the final period 30-15.
Colby and Connor Fugate paced Paintsville with 16 points apiece and Braxton Tharp followed with 10.
