HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Pikeville moves ahead of Lawrence County in boys’ poll

The Pikeville Panthers have moved into the No. 1 position in the latest Mountain Top Sports boys’ Super 7 basketball poll released on Wednesday.

Pikeville edged out Lawrence County. The Bulldogs set at No. 2, followed by the undefeated Logan Wildcats at No. 3.

Paintsville climbs to No. 4. The Tigers are ahead of No. 5 Betsy Layne.

Rounding out the poll are Martin County at No. 6, and East Ridge grabs the No 7 spot.

Receiving votes are Johnson Central, Belfry, Floyd Central, Man, Shelby Valley and Chapmanville.
